Essential Navigation and Safety Course
This course offers students an introduction to practical navigation skills to enable you plan your short passage safely. Both traditional and electronic plotting skills are introduced and developed throughout the course and the course is relevant for people using power and sail craft. No previous experience is needed to attend this course, a student pack will be issued to all students and include a chart plotting tool. Click here to see a video taster of the course.
Classroom Course Dates
Professional Practices & Responsibilities (PPR) -
Required by all people who apply for a commercial endorsement. This short training course and assessment is only available through interactive, click below to sign up for the course. Students will be guided through the regulations and legislation surrounding the use of commercial vessels at sea.
CEVNI Test -
For people who wish to navigate on the inland waterways of Europe you will be required to pass a CEVNI test. The test is a short check of your knowledge and understanding of the ‘euro regs’ and when applying for an International Certificate of Competence you will need to provide evidence of having completed this test.
