RYA Dinghy Instructor Pre-entry sailing Assessment. (1 day)

The pre-entry assessment is a short sailing assessment designed to ensure that candidates who attend the dinghy instructor course have the practical sailing ability to become an instructor. Full details of what is included in the assessment can be found in RYA publication G14.

RYA Dinghy Instructor Course. (5 days)

This training course aims to prepare candidates to instruct RYA levels 1, 2 and seamanship skills from the national syllabus. An intensive course, time is spent running sessions afloat as well as shore based training sessions. Both single handed and crewed dinghies will be used to instruct from and candidates attending this course must be familiar sailing a variety of craft.

RYA Multihull Instructor Endorsement. (2 days)

This training course is to further qualify existing RYA dinghy instructors to run the multihull section of the national syllabus. As a short course, time is spent on the water running sessions that work on the multihull specific parts of the syllabus and relies upon candidates having some prior instructional experience in RYA centres. To attend this course you must be able to sail a multihull to the standard of the pre-entry assessment (not including rudderless).
